Line Gate is a project of Prague-based musician Michal Vaľko. His sound is characterized by repetitiveness, apparent immutability and the use of minimal means of expression. Compositions formed by long drones evoke a psychedelic effect of sealed time. Vaľko’s compositions follow the tradition of minimalism (La Monte Young, Éliane Radigue, Steve Reich), but we can also listen to them as solitary audio diaries.
