TENSION LINE

Once the red lines have been crossed, there is no going back. Only a person who bursts into this “world” as a biocenotic aggressor, an outsider, is able to destroy and conquer everything in his path, even that which is close and dear. Man is the opposite of the ideal, a violator of the natural order.

ANXIOUS SUITCASE

The video work is a synthesis of reflections on the devastating impact of war on people’s lives and the environment. The footage mixes documentary reports from the first days of the war in Ukraine with video memories from civilian life. The plot turns into a dynamic mess, where you can pick out fragments that are close to you. Each frame reproduces diametrically opposite scenes: calm landscapes next to destroyed areas, and picturesque views next to environmental disasters. This dichotomy prompts the viewer to reflect on war, environmental issues and human responsibility for their actions. A call to action, to change the world and our own beliefs to create a better future for all. When every voice counts in times of war.

Medzinárodný umelecký projekt “Reimagining Realities” spája umelcov*kyne zo Slovenska a Ukrajiny s cieľom ponoriť sa do komplexných tém, ako sú skúsenosti s vojnou, klimatická zmena, digitálne nástroje v konflikte, rezistencia a hlboký vplyv propagandy na pamäť a spoločenské myslenie.

Projekt Reimagining Realities realizuje Tabačka Kulturfabrik n.o. s podporou nadácie IZOLYATSIA, Trans Europe Halles a Malý Berlín a je spolufinancovaný z programu ZMINA: Rebuilding, ktorý vznikol s podporou Európskej únie v rámci vyhradenej výzvy na podporu ukrajinských vysídlencov a ukrajinského kultúrneho a kreatívneho sektora.
