Human Wave

During the festival, the boiler room of the tobacco factory will be transformed into a POP-UP universe of the HUMAN WAVE art movement. An imaginary “island of positive deviance” will materialize for a while, where the visitors will be welcomed by the performance of the art group and its musical guest.

On island of positive deviation, the open audiovisual project Standard Society will be presented and the universe of Human Wave will be visited by a musical guest operating under the name Line Gate.

Human Wave’s artistic creative movement has already had several performances and interventions in public space. The Human Wave initiative arose out of a more unacceptable view of the destructive forces of society. It is a response of artists and women artists to the socio-political situation of the present. The idea of Human Wave unites creative personalities across the arts and institutions and is captured in the movement’s manifesto, which can be found at www.humanwave.sk.

Human Wave is an island of positive deviance, a cumulonimbus on which we can build aerial vignettes and fight windmills that mirror the challenges of our mistakes and shortcomings.
